Bernadette Mrazek

The idea of directly working with adults to assist them in exploring their learning potential was the inviting flame that drew Bernadette Mrazek from her native Cape Breton to the PLA Centre when it was first being formed in 1996. She has been directly involved in the development of many of the Centre’s programs and services;  more recently, she has further developed the Centre’s program materials for distance delivery, and through experiential learning and collaboration, continues to refine them.  Bernadette’s major responsibility is the coordination and supervision of the PLAR Practitioners Certificate Program, the Centre’s train-the-trainer model for professionally developing portfolio facilitators. This program involves almost 400 Practitioners across Nova Scotia, and across Canada (NL, NB, ON, AB and BC – so far!)
